The calming rhythm of waves lapping on a rocky shore welcomes you home. A quiet stroll along the shores of Georgian Bay reveals Serenity Now, a quiet three bedroom traditional summer place. Its located close to beautiful Sauble Beach and to the stately town of Southampton.

Here you will find lots of stuff for the kids, peace and quiet for the adults, no jet skis, motor boats or other polluting craft. If peace and tranquility and a good old fashioned traditional Canadian vacation is what you are after, you can't go wrong here.

We are 7.5 km away from Sauble Beach which is world-renowned for its famous sunsets and great swimming and wind surfing, and 7.5 km away from Southampton. So, go one way for a day at the beach, or go the other way for antiques and a leisurely stroll. You can of course swim and muck about at our cottage, but it is rather rocky. There are pockets of sandy areas, but we strongly recommend you wear a pair of old sneakers when swimming. Plus, we are right beside a lovely creek just great for exploring with the young.

The cottage is 1000 square feet in area, and has 250 square feet of outdoor deck space.

The living room of the cottage has large windows, semi-cathedral ceilings, a pull-out sofa, and three armchairs, an electric wood stove, a colour television with Express Vu, a VCR, a DVD player, and a US satellite radio with 120 stations from punk to Christian Rock with no commercials.

Sliding glass doors lead from the living room out onto a large 250 square foot private wooden deck where patio table, chairs and umbrella are arranged (if it hasn't blown away!).

Adjacent to the living room is an eat-in kitchen/dining area which contains fridge, stove, microwave oven and plenty of cupboard and counter space. A Culligan water cooler is also included for all drinking, cooking, teeth cleaning, etc. - hey, we want you to have fun - not be in the washroom all week! The dining table seats six comfortably. With extensions, we've had ten adults at it.

The cottage has three bedrooms: the smaller one has single bunk beds, the other two bedrooms have double beds. Sliding glass doors lead out to the deck.

The bathroom is in two pieces. The toilet, sink, diaper table is in the bedroom area bathroom. The brand new shower is in the dining area. It sounds unusual, but it works, and you can quickly clean off the kids without them dragging dirt and sand all the way through the cottage. It has a super quick 40 gallon water tank attached and two people can fit comfortably in the shower, as opposed to its predecessor which was smaller than a phone booth!

The cottage is situated on a lot which is safe for children. There is plenty of grass and the outside of the lot is surrounded by trees that provide an attractive screen from neighboring properties and the road.

There is an stone fire pit on the beach where you can cook marshmallows under the stars.

Just a short drive away is Sauble Beach, the longest fresh water beach in the world. This is a great place where you and your family can walk, play on the volley ball courts, or take in the magnificent sunsets. If you are up to it, you can spend the day at Sauble in the commercial core with its stores, restaurants, mini-golf and amusement park.
