Expatriate Tax Services
Employees of U.S. Multinational Corporations or U.S. individuals
working overseas become subject to complex tax issues from country
to country when they relocate abroad. We offer assignment
planning and solutions to both employers and employees on tax issues
involving domestic and international relocations; U.S. expatriates
living overseas; and, foreign nationals working in the U.S. Our firm
offers a wide range of services to Multinational Corporations,
expatriate executives, and foreign nationals including:
Tax Equalization and Hypothetical Withholding Tax Calculations
and Consulting
Our firm can provide consulting services to employers in setting
up of the company-specific Tax Equalization Policies that integrate
with the company's overall business strategies. We can explain the
policy to the employees, and perform the tax equalization and
hypothetical withholding tax calculations for the employers. We can
also review the tax equalization calculation with the employee to
determine if the calculation is in accordance with the tax
equalization policy.
Make Up Services in Preparation of the Back-Log Past Year Returns
A large number of U.S. citizens living overseas have failed to
file returns for one or more years because they were not aware of
the filing requirements or the necessity to file. Expatriates do not
automatically get credit for foreign taxes, foreign earned income
and housing exclusions or other tax benefits without first filing a
timely tax return. The statute of limitations never runs out on tax
years for which a taxpayer fails to file their tax return.
We can assist you with preparation and filing of the back log
returns that have not yet been filed for past years. If many returns
are involved, we will give you a "bulk" discount. If you will ever
return to live in the U.S. or intend to collect US Social Security, the IRS will eventually inquire about
the missing returns.
Tax Services for Non-Residents and Foreign Nationals Working and
Living in the U.S.
If you do not live in the U.S., but own all or part of an U.S.
corporation, partnership or trust, we can assist you with filing the
proper tax returns to comply with all U.S. federal and state tax
laws. If you are an individual and receive income which is subject
to U.S. tax (usually something other than certain types of interest
and capital gains) we can prepare a non-resident tax return for you.
If you live in the U.S. or maintain your tax domicile
there, you
must file an U.S. tax return. With planning, those U.S. taxes can be
minimized so you can keep more money in your pocket. We have the
expertise and experience to prepare your returns both for the IRS
and the state in which you live.
